Paint Correction in Atlanta, GA That Restores the Factory Finish

What is Paint Correction and Why Does Your Vehicle Need It?

Over time, your vehicle’s paint can collect swirl marks, micro-scratches, and surface imperfections from improper washing or wear. At Prestige Mobile Cleaning, our paint correction process removes these defects through precise machine polishing and expert technique, revealing a flawless, high-gloss finish underneath.

Our trained technicians inspect every panel, polish in stages, and refine your clear coat until your paint looks factory-fresh. Whether you’re preparing for a ceramic coating or just want your car to turn heads again, proper paint correction is the foundation for stunning results.

RESTORES CLARITY AND DEPTH

We eliminate haze and swirl marks to reveal deep, vibrant color with a flawless mirror finish.

ADDS RESALE VALUE

Corrected paint instantly boosts your car’s appearance and makes a lasting impression on potential buyers.

The stages of paint correction

Stage 1

This is perfect for newer vehicles with minor swirl marks or light surface haze. We use a single-step polish with a soft foam pad to clean up light imperfections and boost the gloss. Stage 1 is a great option when the paint is already in decent shape. It removes about 50% of light defects and gives the paint a cleaner, deeper finish.

Stage 2

Stage 2 is for vehicles with more visible swirl marks, minor scratches, or oxidation. We start with a cutting compound and a more aggressive pad to level the defects. Then we refine it with a finishing polish to smooth out the surface and bring back the clarity. This corrects around 85% of paint issues and gives the paint a much sharper, cleaner look.

Stage 3

This is for neglected, poorly maintained, or seriously damaged. We use a multi-step process with different machines, pads, compounds, and polish combinations. Every panel is measured and corrected carefully. Stage 3 paint correction can take 12 to 15 hours and removes over 95% of correctable defects. The result is a deep, glossy finish that brings your paint back to life.

Common Questions

We’ve Got the Answers Ready

What is paint correction, and is it worth the cost?

Paint correction removes small layers of the clear coat to erase swirl marks and scratches and restore shine. A one-step correction typically starts around $400, while more detailed work costs more. It’s worth it—we bring back that showroom finish and protect your finish for longer.

What is the best way to remove cigarette or smoke odors from a car?

Paint correction is a separate, advanced service—it’s not part of a standard detail. A full detail cleans and shines your car; correction carefully removes paint flaws. We’ll walk you through what each service includes so you can pick what fits your needs.

Would a ‘paint correction’ package at a shop fix clear coat that’s gone, or do I need a repaint?

Paint correction works great when your clear coat is intact but dull or slightly scratched. If the clear coat is missing or heavily damaged, what you need is a repaint—not correction—for real results. We’ll check your paint and tell you exactly what you need.

If my new car is brand-new, what exactly would ‘Paint Correction’ accomplish?

Even new cars can have swirl marks or tiny scratches from shipping or dealership washing. Our paint correction gently removes those light imperfections to give you a glossy, clear finish—without overdoing it. We always pick the gentlest method needed to protect your paint.
