Discover What Engine Cleaning Provides

A clean engine is the sign of a well-maintained vehicle, but many owners are afraid to clean it themselves. We take the risk out of the process. At Prestige Mobile Cleaning, we don’t just blast your engine with water. We treat it with precision care.

We start by covering sensitive components—like the alternator, air intake, and battery—to prevent water intrusion. We then use a specialized degreaser to break down built-up oil and grime, followed by a gentle, low-pressure rinse. Finally, we apply a non-greasy dressing that makes your plastic covers and hoses look brand new.

Protect

We cover sensitive electronics and intakes.

Degrease

We use professional solvents to dissolve oil sludge.

Dress

We apply a high-heat resistant dressing for a "factory fresh" look.

Common Questions

We’ve Got the Answers Ready

Why should I spend money cleaning under the hood?

Aside from looking great, a clean engine runs cooler because it isn't insulated by layers of mud and grease. Most importantly, it allows you (or your mechanic) to spot leaks early. If an engine is covered in old sludge, you can't tell if a gasket just started leaking. If it's clean, a fresh leak is obvious immediately

Is it safe to wash my engine? Won't water ruin it?

This is the most common question we get! Yes, it is safe if done correctly. Modern engines are designed to be weather-resistant (water splashes up from the road all the time). However, they are not waterproof against high-pressure blasting. We use a low-pressure rinse method and cover sensitive components like the alternator, air intake, and exposed fuse boxes to prevent water intrusion.

What if my "Check Engine" light is already on?

If your dashboard has warning lights illuminated, or if we notice exposed wiring or fraying belts during our inspection, we may decline to clean the engine. We do not want to risk exacerbating an existing mechanical issue. We recommend getting the mechanical issue fixed before scheduling a cosmetic cleaning.

Will it be greasy afterwards?

No. We hate that greasy, sticky look just as much as you do. After cleaning, we apply a water-based dressing. This dries to a satin, "factory-new" black finish. It protects the plastics and hoses from drying out but won't attract dust or leave residue on your hands if you touch it.
